FRIDAY NIGHT (September 4th): Prayer for Jailed KY Clerk Kim Davis, the Alabama Supreme Court, Alabama, and the Nation
When: September 4, 2015 (Friday) 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Where: Front Stairs of the Alabama Supreme Court Building (300 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery 36104)
Brothers and sisters in Christ! It is time to drop everything and cry out to God. Our nation is crumbling at the foundations. Today, a Christian clerk has been JAILED in the United States for believing what Christians believe and doing what all Christians should do. Marriage is under attack - from Obergefell to Ashley Madison. Babies are being murdered and their bodies sold for profit (using taxpayer dollars). The Alabama Supreme Court is still debating whether or not to uphold their ruling from March that championed marriage and the rule of law. The State of Alabama is suffering - from her leadership down.
“...if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.” (Psalm 11:3-4)
“LORD, I have heard the report about You and I fear. O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath, remember mercy.” (Habakkuk 3:2)
The wrath of God is great. His mercy is even greater. He is working in this nation.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
Join pastors and Christians from across Alabama to pray for Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, the Alabama Supreme Court, the State of Alabama, and the United States of America.
